Identity Verification &
Fraud Screening

Scams are Everywhere

Sadly, there are plenty of scammers out there. They might try to trick you by making and recording fake deeds. Imagine waking up one day to find out that a stranger now owns your house!

Since we offer services that could be misused by criminals, we’ve introduced a policy that requires property owner(s) ordering a deed from us to verify their identity through a top-notch screening process.

Who Gets Checked?

Before signing, notarizing, and e-recording the deed, the property owner(s) will need to verify their identity.

What Do We Check For?

We screen all property owner(s) involved in the ordering, signing, and recording of a deed for:

Identity and ID Document Analysis

  • Analysis of ID credentials
  • Comparison of ID photo with a selfie video to verify that it is a live person
  • Spoofed image analysis.

Recording and Storing

Every online deed execution is video and audio recorded, and we securely store this data for at least ten years.

Sounds like a lot, right? Don’t worry! It usually takes less than five minutes to complete the screening. We’ll email you a link, and you can go through the process on your smartphone or tablet.
