Remote Online Notarization
(RON) Policy

To complete your Lady Bird Deed using Remote Online Notarization (RON), please review and follow the policy below.

Process Overview

RON involves two required steps:

  1. Identity Verification: Complete an online ID check and answer security questions.

  2. Notarization Session: Join a live video meeting with a commissioned online notary. You must present a valid government-issued photo ID and electronically sign your document during the session.

Technology Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the following requirements:

  • Strong and stable internet connection
  • Desktop, laptop, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone (iPads are not supported)
  • Supported web browser
  • Ability to upload and/or access documents

If your technology does not meet these requirements, the notarization session may fail.

Lady Bird Deed Now is not responsible for technology-related issues on the client’s end.

Alternative Notarization Options

If you cannot complete RON due to technical limitations or other issues, you must use one of the following:

  • UPS Store In-Person Notary: Visit a UPS Store that offers notary services. Typical fees range from $15–$20 (prices vary by location).

  • Mobile Notary Service: We can arrange for a licensed mobile notary to come to your location for an additional fee of $80–$175 (based on location and urgency).

Requirement to Finalize Your Order

A notarized deed is required to complete your order. If RON is unsuccessful, you are responsible for completing notarization through one of the alternative methods listed above before your document can be finalized.
